Both Itch.io and DriveThru RPGs have come out against NFTs. Wizards of the Coast becomes the first tabletop company to sell a billion dollars worth of player’s handbooks and draft boosters. Critical Role is being criticized for their new campaign’s SWANA (Southwest Asian/North African) setting.

The artist responsible for the original illustration from the TSR logo wizard-head responds to Justin LaNasa request for permission to use the logo. This comes after the Wizards of the Coast legal action. Limitless Heroes by Wyrmworks Publishing is a supplement for the fantasy roleplaying game, Including Characters with Disabilities, Mental Illness and Neurodivergence in Fifth Edition. TSR drops their lawsuit against Wizards of the Coast, but leave their IndieGoGo campaign active. WotC files a lawsuit to end the trademark dispute Does this spell the end of TSR? Free League announces partnership with Demiplane to produce Free League Nexus digital toolset. This will support all of their RPGs and marks the third major company to appear on the platform. Like Pathfinder Nexus and World of Darkness Nexus it will be available in 2022. A major errata is released by Wizards of the Coast that makes several major changes to many of the books released for fifth edition. The most noticeable change is the move to remove all racial alignments. Asmodee is in negotiations to be sold to a video game company called Embracer group based in Sweden. TSR is back! Again? Which one? They have started an IndieGoGo campaign to assist them in suing Wizards of the Coast for libel and slander, mostly concerning the disclaimer that has been added to legacy products. Cortex Prime, owned by Fandom has released the license details for fans interested in developing mods, etc. for the game. The fans are not happy. The agreement appears to give ownership of all free materials developed to Fandom. New expansion for Vaesen by Free League lets players leave the Nordic setting and explore folklore monsters in Britain and Ireland. EN Publishing loses the 200AD license and holds an enormous flash sale of all remaining stock. Forged in the Dark Bundle of Holding give you 4 RPGs using the system, including the original Blades in the Dark designed by John Harper and published by Evil Hat Productions , for only $10. Quite a deal if you have never tried the system and setting.

Dungeons and Dragons is coming to television with an official actual play show. It will be streaming on Twitch and the G4 website as well as the G4 cable channel on November 22. Purging of the Crucible is a new adventure available for the 2d20 Mutant Chronicles RPG. It will be available from Modiphius as a PDF and also shortly available as a print on demand 74-page colour softcover book. Southeast Asian tabletop designers and artists, Centaur Games, behind the A Thousand Thousand Islands have launched a Kickstarter for their first full-length tabletop RPG campaign book, Reach of the Roach God. Paizo President apologies for user data breach. Bundle of Holding revives the August 2016 Tribe 8 Bundle, featuring much of the Tribe 8 product line in beautiful new versions from Dream Pod 9.

Cabinet Group, the rights holder of Conan the Barbarian, Mutant Year Zero and Solomon Kane are being acquired by Norway’s Funcom, develops of the first Conan MMORPG. We discuss the Lake Geneva Dugeon Hobby Shop museum set to open, or at least get a new parking lot and curator. Also, the list of professionals and events that are distancing themselves from the new TSR grows. Cargo shipping rates are up 300 to 400 percent currently. This is putting pressure on board game companies to shoulder that expense if it is temporary or pass it on to the customers. Probably the likely move. The solution would be stop printing boardgames in China, but why would anyone do that? Finally, for an escape for the ugliness we take a look at Dukk Borg by Gem Room Games and Nerdy Paper Games. A Mork Borg compatible game that combines dark metal and DuckTales. Anything that celebrates death metal aesthetics and Carl Barks influenced duck characters is worth a look.

Another solo livestream, because these are times we live in. Chris will be back soon. In the meantime, I discuss the Quests of Yore TTRPG starter set based on the Disney/Pixar film, Onward. Quests of Yore: Barley’s Edition is a boxed set that contains everything you need to play this original game as seen in the movie. Jeff Goldblum is playing an elf sorcerer in an actual play series called, Dark Dice. The production values seem high, but will this celebrity voice add to the experience? Writers and Artists guilds untie to #MakeDisneyPay following the settlement with Alan Dean Foster and his missing royalty payments. And finally, the Dungeons and Dragons movie reboot begins filming, aiming for a spring 2023 release. We have heard the cast, but have no idea about the script. Can Hugh Grant chew the scenery as well as Jeremy Irons? Find out in a few years.
