Amazon now lets you play the Starfinder RPG with Alexa simply by saying “Alexa, play Starfinder” and eventually paying for the privilege. Werewolf Fifth Edition is coming in 2021. Cool Mini or Not Kickstarted a Zombicide version of Night of the Living Dead. Just because. C’mon! We played the Hope’s Last Day cinematic adventure for the Alien RPG. The rights to all Michale Moorcock’s works, including Elric of Melniboné, were acquired by New Republic Pictures. Vaesen artbook by Johan Egerkrans arrived and it is beautiful. Games Workshop is bringing back the Old World of Warhammer Fantasy Battles… in a few years. It will be the Horus Heresy of Age of Sigmar. The main difference being Horus didn’t end the universe. Kathleen Kennedy remains willfully ignorant of the Star Wars Expanded Universe as a source for inspiration for new films. Charlie’s Angels came and went without notice. Elizabeth Banks, the director, blames men. As you do. White Wolf’s Aberrant – Aeon Trinity Continuum makes you cut. Lyal pledged Cyberpapacy for TORG, continuing his streak. Battletech opens the pledgemanager for Clan Invasion. Jeremy fails to sell Lyal on the Trophy RPG by recounting their session last Saturday. Pathfinder First Edition Humble Bundle includes digital comics as well. Episode 224: Alien RPG Cinematic Starter Review

Our in-depth review of the Alien RPG Cinematic Starter by Free League. More than 90 minutes of overview, analysis and some spoilers for the free PDF adventure, Chariot of the Gods. We start with a summary of the Year Zero System used in the game and how it differs from previous Free League releases like Forbidden Lands and Mechatron. There are also the stress, consumables and PVP mechanics that are unique to this system and setting. We discuss the use of props and sound effects and their effect on the sessions. We played through the adventure in 4 game sessions that are available on our YouTube and Twitch channels.

If you are curious about the Alien RPG and its system and setting this should give you a very thorough idea of how this game plays and if you want to bring it to your gaming table.

A slightly more salty weekly episode. CMON holds a stealth garage sale in the guise of a campaign to create soundtracks and artbooks for its games. They are actually clearing out warehouse leftovers from previous campaigns. Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers has released a fantasy TTRPG as a well-designed and illustrated 97-page PDF called Feast of Legends. Critical Role held a sponsored livestream and we are all left wondering “Why?” Chris played a session of Girl Underground by Jesse Ross, creator of Trophy. Also tried the Forbidden Lands RPG by Free League.

The first session of D&D 5E playing the Lost Mines of Phandelver and the excellent utility of the 5E Essentials rulebook. Consent in Gaming by Monty Cooke Games (which is FREE but requires you create an account) and suspicions of their motives as well as the actual good a document like this can do. Bitter Reach is the expansion for the Forbidden Lands RPG by Free League (not Bitterlands as was mysteriously reported previously) along with a reprint of the core set. Alien is not Star Trek and other GMing mistakes in the comments.
