Wacom has introduced Yuify, a blockchain-based service designed to help digital artists and photographers claim and manage the ownership of their work. Available as a plugin for Adobe Photoshop and soon for Clip Paint Studio and Rebelle, Yuify allows artists to record their work on the blockchain, ensuring control over the legal use of their images through licensing. In an interview at the VFX Festival, Wacom CEO Nobutaka Ide emphasized that Yuify is not about exploiting artists like NFTs but about providing a secure method for artists to authenticate and manage their portfolios.
