Wizards of the Coast and Extra Life partner to #CHANGEKIDSHEALTH Children-designed Magic: The Gathering cards, Dungeons & Dragons products are available for donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising event.

The third part of the cinematic adventure trilogy for the ALIEN RPG is now available to retail. Heart of Darkness is a complete Cinematic Scenario for the ALIEN roleplaying game. It is a stand-alone adventure but also serves as a conclusion to the Draconis Strain Saga begun in the cinematic scenario Chariot of the Gods and continued in Destroyer of Worlds. The scenario is designed for 3–5 players plus the Game Mother and is a spiraling descent into soul-crushing madness.

With the virtual convention Roll20Con wrapping up this weekend, there’s still time to grab the free offerings from the convention on the Roll20 Marketplace. You can pick up starter sets for Call of Cthulhu and Alien RPG, the full system for Alice is Missing, quickstarts for Deadlands, The Dark Eye, Call of Cthulhu, Apocalypse Keys, and Monster of the Week, and adventures for Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: The Masquerade, plus map and token collections.

Humble Bundle has the perfect bundle to introduce new players to the World of Darkness in both tabletop and video game forms. The Weekly LIVE 131 – Alien RPG Tie-in Novels, Return of Gold Box Games, CBR+PNK KS, Kickstarter Record

Free League and Titans Books will collaborate to publish three original novels that are tied into the AlienRPG campaign storylines. This project will be supervised by Andrew EC Gaska the writer of the Alien RPG campaigns. The original Dungeons and Dragons Gold Box games from the 1980s are returning to PC. Relive these classic early PCRPG adventures and their old school settings originally by SSI. Emanoel Melo’s Cyberpunk TTRPG uses a minimalist version of the acclaimed Forged In The Dark system to encourage cinematic action and a spiraling series of consequences and is now on Kickstarter to produce a physical edition. Kickstarter sets a new record for tabletop projects funded in 2021. Plus they are hiring for their community advisory council.

Free League is releasing the Colonial Marine Operations Manual. Featuring rules for Marines and guidelines for running a whole marine-centric campaign. Plus six missions to run written by Andrew E.C. Gaska and Paul Elliot. Also featuring the excellent artwork of Martin Grip from the core rulebook. The makers of Quest RPG are releasing actual play audio tutorials to help new players get a handle on the game and get up and running even without the physical rulebook. We also discuss the idea of the preciousness of player characters and how with all the investment now possible some players can’t stand to see their characters die.

The DriveThru RPG website is previewing its long-overdue redesign. Free League released a new adventure module for their Alien RPG called Destroyer of Worlds. It is a boxed set and features the colonial space marines prominently. Stay frosty. They also released a starter box that is a collection of the game accessories they previously released along with custom dice and a condensed rulebook. Dark World Studios will be running a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter for their Acheron RPG. Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden is the newest campaign module for 5E of the World’s Greatest Roleplaying Game. Buy us a copy and force Chris to review it! Ultraviolet Grasslands by Luka Rejec has a free player’s guide available and the physical game is available at the Exalted Funeral webstore.

The Weekly 061: Hellboy RPG, Alexa Play Starfinder, 2020 Ennies, Star Trek 2d20, and Masters of the Universe RPG

Following the miniatures skirmish boardgame, Mantic is following up with a Hellboy TTPRG designed by Marc Langworthy of Red Scar Publishing. It will launch on Kickstarter and be powered by 5E of the World’s Greatest Role-playing Game. Amazon releases Starfinder audio game for Alexa. Featuring the voices of Nathan Fillion and Laura Bailey. GenCon Online releases the winners of the 2020 Ennie awards. Again this year Free League is a big winner with the Alien RPG and Mörk Borg. Thousand Year Old Vampire and Ironsworn Delve were also winners. As of this release, the Star Trek 2d20 Humble Bundle is now concluded, but the PDFs are available on DriveThruRPG and the free quickstart is on the Modiphius store. The Masters of the Universe going to be a pen and paper RPG power by Cortex Prime. Legends of Grayskull will be published in 2021 and will include a 250-page hardcover guidebook with pull-out maps, a digital companion, a community content creation and sharing platform, and an organized play program.

Spider-man and Star Lord are interested in doing a 5E actual play. Chris watched the Critical Role actual play of Monsterhearts 2. Physical copies of Ironsworn are on the way. Prince August is selling prototype test castings of never-released Heartbreaker terrain. Free League Publishing launches Free League Workshop on DriveThruRPG.com to support the development of content for their Tales From the Loop, Symbaroum, Coriolis: The Third Horizon and Mutant Year Zero. The Alien RPG by Free League is also getting several foreign language editions. Kickstarter employees vote to unionized making them the first tech company to organize.

Kathleen Kennedy remains willfully ignorant of the Star Wars Expanded Universe as a source for inspiration for new films. Charlie’s Angels came and went without notice. Elizabeth Banks, the director, blames men. As you do. White Wolf’s Aberrant – Aeon Trinity Continuum makes you cut. Lyal pledged Cyberpapacy for TORG, continuing his streak. Battletech opens the pledgemanager for Clan Invasion. Jeremy fails to sell Lyal on the Trophy RPG by recounting their session last Saturday. Pathfinder First Edition Humble Bundle includes digital comics as well.
